Our Basketballers will be sharing their love for Basketball by giving friends and family the opportunity to experience the enjoyment they get from playing team sport each weekend 🥳

Sport and friendship are so interwoven and more friends is always good, right?! Teammates are made from other players who become friends or from friends who join your team 💚🏀

We’re delighted to be able to introduce our Basketball besties to the Mighty Basketball family community and welcome them with open arms 🤗

Why are team sports so great for younger children? ⬇️

Team sports have so many benefits for children. We’ve listed some of the reasons why we think team sports are so fantastic ⚽️🏀🏐🏈

🏐 Cooperation 🤝 Working together in a team and learning that together you can achieve so much.

🏐 Confidence 💪 improving body image for both girls and boys, understanding how capable they physically are and being proud of what their body can do.

🏐 Making friends 🥰 Building relationships that will offer them support and acceptance beyond their existing groups. An additional layer of friendship that can offer solace if things aren’t easy elsewhere.

🏐 Emotional benefits. Experiencing winning and losing and the feelings they bring. Taking learnings from each outcome and not considering it a “failure” or “mistake” but an opportunity for growth 🙌

🏐 Belonging 🤗 Each member of the team is important in the game. They are valued and appreciated and feel acceptable and seen 👀

🏐 Fun 🤩 The most important benefit, playing with friends and enjoying themselves.

At Mighty Basketball we truly value team sports and the benefits it has for everyone 💚 Positively impacting the children, the coaches, the parents. This is why we are so passionate about what we do!

At grassroots level, it is all about getting a positive start in sport. Lots of fun, tons of engagement, all delivered in a supportive and inclusive environment.

At Mighty Basketball we make sure we have coaches who care as much as we do. Ensuring every coach is ‘Mighty’ and represents everything we care about. Luckily there are plenty of people who share our goals.

Mighty Basketball coaches are fantastic role models. Showing up to every session with passion, enthusiasm and excitement, building confidence and putting smiles on faces. I love this picture of coach meeting a child for the first time ⬇️
